Middle Falls of Little Stony Creek - Waterfalls on Waymarking.com

Take VA-72 either from Dungannon or Coeburn. There is a gravel forest service road which winds around to the parking coordinates. Or hike up the three mile trail from Hanging Rock Recreation Area. (Note: The trail currently has some erosion issues to be addressed.)

The middle falls on Stony Creek have an observation platform along the trail. The water is spread across the face, and then collects in into a shallow pool at the bottom. An informal steep access trail (slide down the hill on backside) reaches this bottom pool.

There is also an upper plunge waterfall near the parking coordinates as Waymark WMF08Q, so enjoy the two different types.
