Nong Khai is a small city in northern Thailand, on the border with Laos. Linking this fine city to points southwards is a train line stretching back to Bangkok. The station itself lies a little to the west of the city. In design it has a bright and spacious central, ticketing and waiting area, which opens to the train line. There is a stretch of line that continues northwards to Laos.
