I've always noticed this building since I was a young child in the 1960s and wondered what it's history is and why is it that shape.
Thinking it too small and in the wrong place to be an aircraft hanger.
I now realise that it's left over from the Second World War when the 5th USAF had airfields scattered around the Townsville area.
I'm unsure, but I think there was second hut beside this one and they used to be in a very poor state of repair.
This one's now a custom furniture workshop.
Additions: None.
