A swallowed up fairground....

The fairgrounds here are surrounded by urban sprawl making it an interesting combination for an agricultural fairground. As you watch tractor pulls the backdrop is the garden center of a Wal-mart with a separate strip mall off to the side.
The fairgrounds are not all that big but are quite modern. For the fair lots of things are under tents, a bit more than usual. There is a free stage so to speak but they don't have a stage outdoors so its an improvised kind of thing. There are no carnival rides and most food is from local groups. The fairground also has the largest llama barn I have seen so far. It's quite big and I think it is even air conditioned.
The attendance when I was there on a Saturday afternoon was brisk and there were quite a few critters given the physical size of the fair grounds.
