With the constant and worrying concerns about global warming and its consequences a new fuel was required to replace the old fossil fuels. What is the best we have come up with so far, electricity produced by burning fossil fuels!
Of course we have nuclear power but that opens another can of worms.
Solar power, which some companies use as you will read later in one of the links. However, it is a very, very small percentage though.
Electricity is a step in the right direction and thanks to some companies
Ecotricity being one of them it is now becoming a real possible alternative to petrol.
These charging points are on the southbound services but there is also a charging station on the northbound services.
Information on the Services can be found
HERE
Remember “Tiredness Kills – Take a Break” whatever type of vehicle you are driving!
The top-up points include:
1 x 13 amp 3 pin socket
1 x 32 amp 7 pin EU mode socket
And are available free for up to two hours, after that time you will have to pay a car parking fee. The electricity is still free though as long as you have registered with the company.
Many thanks to the owners of the above websites who have made my life a little easier.
