Wat "Ratch-key-re-he-run-ya-ram" (as it was spelt out to me) is a Buddhist wat located ten kilometres or so east of the Thai provincial capital of Phitsanulok, on a hill top overlooking the city. The wat is noted as it has a statue of the goddess Guanyin protectively guarding the city.

Guanyin is on a dais, surrounded by a fountain, enclosed by a circular cloister. Along the cloister is a Buddhist temple bell, present to be rung by visitors to the wat. This bell is not a permanent fixture, but is in an open wooden framework, but these bells are present in virtually all Thai wats, so if it is ever moved, it will not be moved far.

Entry to the wat is unrestricted (and you can take the hike up the hill if you prefer), but a small donation is the thing to do.
