These dogs were an unexpected find. Driving south from Phitsanulok City along Highway 117 these fine canine fellows sit on the western side of the road, at an intersection. The are two dogs, rather good examples of "Canis lupus familiaris", have no markers, plaques or other identification material. Nor could any local I spoke to tell me why these creatures are here, however, here they are.

They are somewhat larger than life-sized, and seem bright and attentive. They seem to be greeting folk as people drive by.
