The Emery House also known as the Rose Cottage was built circa 1800. The house was submitted to the National Register of Historic Places as part of Thematic Resources submission Wells Township Cape Cod Houses TR. The rural home is a wood frame one and a half story home. It has had additions over the years but continues to show the characteristics of the Cape Cod cottage.

The house appears to be in good condition and continues to serve as a private residence.
