There were once hundreds of grist mills like this across the state of West Virginia, but this is not one of them. Glade Creek Grist Mill was built recently (completed in 1976) but with authentic parts salvaged from three separate old West Virginia mills. It's fully operable and visitors can purchase meal ground in the mill.
