This National Geodetic Survey mark is No. 2 of three reference marks for the BARIE triangulation disk, which is located in front of the Springville, New York school district (Middle school/Elementary school) along Newton Street.

This reference mark is located in a concrete monument level with the ground near the school along Newton Road. It is stamped with the date: 1973.

Reference mark No. 1 is also nearby. The station was not recovered as it may be buried and reference mark No. 3 was not recovered as it appears to be on private property.
Condition: Mark found in good condition
