The Clearwater Evangelical Lutheran Church - Oklee was organized by Rev. Oppegaard with 30 members on February 21, 1898. Services were first held in the homes of the members. Schoolhouse were built "just before 1900" and then the schoolhouses were used for worship.
In is unclear when the church was completed.

The Clearwater Cemetery across the street also has a sign that says it has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, but it doesn't show up on any searches.
