The benchmark was found by looking on a topography map and seeing it listed as BM 4250. It is not located in the NGS database.

This benchmark is in very good shape for its age (1953) and has survived lots of roadside tree and brush removal recently and I was fortunate that the road department posted a newer white witness post to make the benchmark easier to locate, even though I had to dig a little to uncover it. There was also some erosion/rusting of the metal casing around the concrete post as well as erosion of the concrete post itself.

Directions to get to benchmark:
If you're traveling north on Hwy 97 the benchmark will be easy to spot with the white metal witness post on the right. My coordinates should get you pretty close to ground zero.
