Boonville was the origin county seat of Brazos County, but when the railroad went through low priced land supplied and laid out by William J. Bryan, residents and businesses moved there, and soon the county seat was moved there also. Boonville Cemetery, on the outskirts of the current Bryan, TX, aside Boonville Road, has two WOW gravestones, both tall stumps on a base of two short horizontal logs.
