There are two ghost signs here and the upper one may have been painted over an even older one. The top one appears to read:
"W.H. JOHNS / DRAPERS"
The lower one appears to read:
"BACON & SONS / STATIONERS".
Looking for further information on the Internet does not reveal anything other than older photographs showing that the word "BOOKBINDERS" may have been over the top or underneath "DRAPERS" at some time.
