The Henry Sherburne House also known as the Richard Shortridge House, according to the National Register nomination, was built between 1766 and 1770 however a sign posted on the house indicates an earlier date of 1725. The two story house is one of most elaborate Georgian style houses in this part of the city. The broken scrolled pediment doorway is considered one of its most significant features. The house is in excellent condition and has been converted to serve as the corporate offices for Juliet Marine.
