While looking for a cache the day after Memorial Day, we passed this grave and Revolutionary War marker. There is not much information available on Joseph Rathburn. He was born January 28, 1763 and died September 29, 1854. He was listed as receiving a pension as a Revolutionary War soldier in the 1840 Ohio Census of Pensioners. The marker at the grave was placed by the Astabula County Chapters of the D.A.R. in 1989.
