This benchmark (designated B 18.97 L) is along the old Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway (tracks and rail have been removed) in Colden, New York.

The mark is set in the top of the SW abutment of a railroad bridge over Casenovia Creek. The mark is located alongside a painted elevation, which reads "EL = 1090.53." Access to the mark can be accomplished by approaching from the south and NC0465.

The mark is in good condition, and was recovered easily.
