The site for this Waymark is on what once was a wagon trail. A family suffered the death of their young daughter from scarlet fever and had to stop to bury her along the way. Her name was June Elliott-daughter of J.J. & J.L. Elliott, born May 28, 1898 Died Jan 30, 1902.

Please be respectful of this small country grave site. You can park on the road right beside the Waymark and walk through the tall grass to the headstone.
