Held on the first weekend of June, the Western Days Festival was more than I had anticipated. I found out about it through the Indiana Festival Guide and it didn't sound like much of a festival but having visited it I can say it is a pretty good one to attend and well worth your while. They seemed to have something going on most all of the time and music that just about everyone would like on my visit.
A real surprise was the number and variety of food vendors. It was great for a little town. Lots of variety and not just the standard elephant ears (they had those of course). In addition to kids rides and petting zoo there were yard sales abounding all over town and lots of vendors along streets in the heart of the festival.
If you could only pick one of a few festivals to get to on this weekend mark this on high on the list.
For a small town festival I'd rate it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
