Rooster's Cafe is located in a shopping area in the town of Jones, population 2700, a few miles east of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Hearing good things about this restaurant, we stopped in one Friday night, ate, and went away full and satisfied.
The restaurant is no-frills, a simple country place with some rooster decorations and lots of friendly staff. The food is just like your mama made - sandwiches, hamburgers, and country plates with chicken fried steak, catfish, chicken fingers, steak and sides. The breakfast menu is available 24/7. Take-out is available, but better to stay and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and visit with the locals.
