DI3543 - NGS 'V 746' BM - Klamath County, OR - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

The V 746 vertical control mark (PID# DI3543)is an official NGS benchmark monumented in 2006. This benchmark replaces a much older benchmark that formerly existed at this location but was destroyed when the former OC&E (Oregon, California & Eastern) Railroad overpass over Hwy 140 was torn down many years ago. A rail-to-trails OC&E Woods Line State Trail has replaced the railroad and the concrete foundation that this benchmark is monumented in is one of the few traces of the overpass left.
