Banteay Samré is a temple built under Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. It is a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style with a single tower.

Brahma is the god of creation among the Hindu trinity, the others being Vishnu (the preserver) and Siva (the destroyer). Brahma is depicted with four directional faces and four arms.
