This former Atomic Energy Commission facility was run by Monsanto for the government. The facility produced various products and materials used in nuclear bombs and space related applications. The plant was constructed in 1946, to replace other secret facilities in the WW2 Dayton area. In August 1973 the plant surpassed Monsanto's all time safety record of 27,261,284 man hours worked without a disabling injury.

The capsule was placed to commemorate this achievement. It is presently located inside the Mound Science and Energy Museum which is nearby Miamisburg, OH. The facility was named after a nearby Adena Indian mound, just across the road (see nearby waymarks). There is no indication as to when it is to be opened.
