The photo is taken from a position approximately 25 metres to the south of the bridge.

The bridge is held aloft by brick and stonework on both the west and east sides of Southwark Bridge Road. The bridge still carries rail traffic to/from Waterloo Station to London Bridge and Cannon Street Stations. Like many bridges, in London at least, the supporting structures usually house a few business and, although noisy, the rents can be very low.

The bridge is of steel girder construction.
Bridge Type: Girder

Bridge Usage: Railroad

Moving Bridge: This bridge is static (has no moving pieces)
