This barn quilt is particularly appropriate for this Swedish community. The town of 700 residents was established in 1899 and has two official replicas of the Delecarlian Swedish horses, one on the welcome sign and the other on a trailer all ready for the next parade. This Swedish Dala Horse barn quilt is found north of town on the Lindgren farm and is listed as #9 on the Buena Vista County Barn Quilt map.
