This milestone is on the left hand side of Skipton Road as you leave Ilkley and head towards Skipton. It is fixed to a stone wall at the side of the pavement.

The milestone is on the English Heritage list as a Grade II structure. (Reference 1393170)

It dates to circa 1888 and listed by English Heritage because this design of cast iron milestones was introduced when the responsibility for the main road network passed from local councils to the new County Councils. (visit link)
