California bike route signs always have an area specific section near the top of the sign. THe building depicted on this sign is the City Hall building of South South San Francisco.

I saw several cycling route 80 signs while in South San Francisco. Cycling Route 80 seems to travel east to west from Oyster Point, past Point San Bruno Park, across HiWay 101 into downtown the downtown area.
