An earthquake in 1965 triggered a massive landslide that brought down a side of mountain. At that moment two cars were travelling along the Crowsnest Highway and four lives were lost.

This plaque is dedicated to the glory of God

And to the memory of those who lost their lives
as a result of the unusual slide
triggered by an earthquake in this area on January 9, 1965.
