Rim Trail, Robert H Treman State Park - Enfield, NY - Outdoor Stairways on Waymarking.com

This stairway is made up of multiple segments with hairpin turns totaling over 130 stone steps. The posted coordinates are at one of the hairpin turns with a view. At N 42° 23.998 W 076° 35.005 you you reach a lookout landing with a clear view of Lucifer Falls. There is at least one built-in bench where one can sit and rest. There is also a hidden nook (N 42° 23.992 W 076° 34.974) containing a plaque dedicated to the private owners who donated this land to the state, which in turn allowed it tob be developed during the Great Depression by the CCC workers.

The plaque reads: "This Glen's singular charm was recognized and rescued for the people of New York by ROBERT and LAURA TREMAN, some of whose friends set this tablet here in loving appreciation of their gift of Enfield Gorge to us all."

I don't have the exact number of stone stair steps, but since the Gorge Trail (the other side of the Enfield Creek Gorge has 40 railroad ties, followed by 90 stone steps (in several sets), followed by 30 more stone steps to the top of the falls (for a total of 120 stone steps), and since the Rim Trail rises high above the top of the falls, there are at least 150 steps. If you counted the steps on your visit, I am happy to update the number of stairs from your input.

To reach these stairs, enter the Robert H Treman State Park at the West Entrance, and follow the park road to a parking lot. Then go to N 42° 24.153 W 076° 35.297 (over a stone bridge) and follow the signs to the Rim Trail.
