The provincial hall of Phichit Province is located near the city centre, on the River. At the top of the stairs leading up from the main entrance is an astrological plaque. This plaque displays, in the intricate Thai language, a chart depicting the heavens and description of the outcome thereof. Part of this is a date, to the hour, which, I was told, was the time of the dedication of the hall.
Entry to the hall is permitted, as the provincial museum is also located in the hall. Phichit is a quiet, somewhat isolated province, with very few tourists. The staff will be happy to see you. The governor himself showed me through the museum when I visited.
