There has been a church on this site since 1224, however the present church was rebuilt in 1877 by Ewan Christian on behalf of Reverend Arthur Delme-Radcliffe. The church was dedicated by the Bishop of Ely in 1879.
The church has walls of flint with limestone dressings to walls and windows. The roof is of red tile. The tower is of rectangular form and incorporates the porch.
The church has several fine stained glass windows. A unique feature of the church is the reredos which has nine panels carrying inlaid mosaic ornamentation.
