The CBC started in Allora in 1906 & this building was erected in 1910. The CBC bank closed in 1981 following its amalgamation with the National Bank of Australasia to form what is now called the National Australia Bank. The building was sold in 1985 & has operated as a dentistry since then.

The CBC building was the first brick building in Allora. It still retains the original CBC lettering on the front window.
