The clock is placed centrally on the flat-arched entrance way which has a metal mansard roof. These date to 1930 when they replaced 3 iron-work arches which were removed to allow for the widening of the promenade.
There are four faces, painted white with black Roman numerals and minute marks. The thin hour and minute hands are also painted black. The clock is mounted on a tall square pillar, painted black with gold-coloured detail. It is surmounted by an octagonal conical finial with terminal sphere.
