Wat Mai Play Hoi is located in a rural region of the rural, central Thai province, of Phichit. A little off the beaten track, however, the Wat is undergoing an extensive refurbishment and is an impressive sight. One of the small temple buildings on the grounds is guarded, as are many Buddhist wats, by two standing lions flanking the entrance. The lions are brown and gold in colour. If you visit remember to make a small donation for your trouble, 20 baht will suffice.
