Part of the Phitsanulok Province, the small town of Nakhonthai lies ~50 kilometres distant from the provincial capital (~80kms by road). On the southern edge of the town is the town bus station. In design, a large open building, with seating, and a single ticket window. Outside, a line of small vendors selling food, drink and so forth, surrounded by a large, sandy field, upon which buses arrive and depart. There are also a half dozen or so tuk tuks standing by. Judging by the single sign the main route is between the town and the provincial capital, every half hour, on the half hour.
