Two separate congregations joined together in September 1919 at the Midway Schoolhouse and formed the Midway Congregation.

A building committee was formed in 1924 and the church building was completed in 1925.

The first pastor was Rev. C M Austin.

The evergreens just west of the cemetery were planted in 1937.

In 1955, a new addition was added to the building on the east side.
