The site is owned by Sterling Marine Fuels (A division of Mc Asphalt Industries Ltd). Some of the mural scenes seem to be historic in nature while others are more contemporary depictions of the Detroit River, ships and parks in the area. One scene shows a sign “Welcome to Sandwich Town” which is the historic name of the area that is one of the oldest, most historically significant settlements in Ontario. (visit link)
