This hand operated water pump is located at a place known as 'pump corner' in the centre of Dorking. Made from cast iron this white and black pump is well looked after. From the top a vertical pole is incorporated into pump with a finger posts, one way pointing to Horsham, the other pointing to Guildford, although this is painted out white, as West Street is now a one way street.
Please be careful near the pump. It is on a busy road.
