Phicit city, capital of the province of the same name, lies 300kms plus north of Bangkok. A quiet area of agriculture and light industry. Connecting the city to the wider world is the city train station. This lies a little out of the town to the east.
The station building is somewhat unusual in design, a two story square building, rather than the usual long building, stretching along the tracks. Upon entry a large, open, square room, where one can buy tickets and wait to go somewhere. Continuing through one will see the tracks and a waiting area along the tracks.
The city lies on the Bangkok to Chang Mai route. I suspect few other than locals disembark here.
