Shadow Farm contained structures that were both Queen Anne and Prairie School

The Prairie School was a primarily residential architectural movement that began in Chicago yet rapidly spread across the Midwest. Prairie School began right around the 1890's, with Frank Lloyd Wright one of its earliest students.

Queen Anne style was very ornate and popular from 1890 to 1910. Gingerbread adornmates come to mind

These were the primary style used in Shadow Farm by Douglas Smyth. Mr Smyth attended Harvard from 1864-66, the Ecole des Beaux Arts from 1866-70

Today Shawdow Farm has been turned into condominiums.
