Marion County Missouri has two county courthouses, one in Palmyra, the county seat and another in Hannibal, the largest city. This courthouse was completed in 1901 and was designed by architect James Hogg of Kansas City. The building has is a porticoed building with classical details and features stone facade and brick sides and back, the building measures 124 by 80 feet. The cost of the building was $43,500. The court accepted the completed building July 12, 1901.
