Ezekial Mott's service to his country included time with New York Provincial Troops in Dutchess County, New York as a member of Capt. Peter Harris’ Company in the Battle of Trenton; in the New York Continental Line, Col. William Malcom’s Regiment, officered by General George Washington; and as a a Green Mountain Boy.
Following the war, Ezekial Mott and his wife Jane McKelvey settled in Portage County Ohio in 1807 where they remained until his death in 1825.
