The building is in the old town of Melaka City, in a line of Chinese built homes and small shops. Atop the building is a dedicatory date: 1948. There is a shop on the ground floor, that was closed for business during my visit, during the Chinese New Year celebrations, but it is most likely a small, family owned business, with the family living above.
