These two plaques are located close to the underpass which leads from Station Road East to the promenade in Penmaenmawr.
The plaques were erected by the Aberconwy Borough Council to commemorate the official opening of the newly-designed promenade in 1989.
There is a Welsh and English plaque, the text for the plaques reads:

During the summer months there is a cafe on the promenade, a small paddling pool as well as a childrens play area. The promenade is a very popular area with the local dog walkers and those looking for a bit of sea air.
