This bell is situated on the grounds of an chapel for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is located at 65 South Bear Lake Blvd. The bell sits covered as it would have been while it hung in the belfry of a little white Church that has been torn down. An engraved stone on the platform of the bell reads:
ABOUT 1896 THIS BELL HUNG IN A BELFRY ON TOP OF A LITTLE WHITE CHURCH THAT STOOD ON THIS VERY SPOT. IT WAS RUNG THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE CHURCH AND FOR FIRES ND DISASTERS. IN 1926 THE BELL WAS BROKEN DURING REMODELING AND PUT UNDER THE STEPS. THE BELL WAS FOUND IN 1977 WHEN THE CHURCH WAS TORN DOWN, AND RESTORED IN 1996.
