"João Diogo Esteves da Silva (1848-1921)
Ubatubense, formou-se professor e medico, Esteves Da Silva foi fundador e editor-chefe do Jornal Echo Ubatubense. Presidente do Grêmio de leitura 'atheneu ubatubense' e diretor da primeira escola noturna da cidade, que funcionava no Largo do Matriz. Em 1901 Esteves foi eleito deputado estadual, cargo que ocupo ate 1903."
