A rather rambling churchyard. At the present work is being carried out on the building and railings, with locked gates, have been placed all round the building, possibly conversion to private use. Some of the older graves are inside the perimeter of the railings, the rest of the churchyard is open to the public.
There is a family railed plot listing members of the Newton and Chambers families. Newton and Chambers was a large business in the area.

One of the panels on the newton family reads
"George Newton
born March 20th 1790
died December 12th 1863.

Lt. Col. W.H.Newton
late Royal Artillery
born October 10th 1849
died October 2nd 1902

God gives us love
so a thing to love he lends us."

Building is gradeII listed -
