Sherman tank located next to the five story tall Iwo Jima mural and memorial. The mural depicts the raising of the flag on Mt. Surabachi and has the mural plus a steel replica on the top. At the bottom of the mural are large real boulders and just to the right of the mural sits this vintage Sherman tank.
The park is a treasure trove of military memorials. In addition to the tank and Iwo Jima mural and memorial, there is a Vietnam Huey helicopter, Statue of Liberty, cemetery wall and memorial, a tribute to Women and War, a Korean War tribute and a replica bandshell.
