Exit Motspur Park Station via the Station Road exit and turn left, walk about 50 metres and you are at the library.
Not where you would expect to find a library.
For years I wondered why it was called West Barnes Library being miles from Barnes.
Checking the location on Google Earth I see the road parallel to Station Road is called West Barnes Lane. Doh!
A neat little library with all the usual trappings, open every day except Sundays and Wednesdays.
A few years ago a local group of library enthusiasts set up the Friends of West Barnes Library group and help out by volunteering and keeping the library open on Mondays. Check out this website for more information
