This sculpture is entitled La Renommee Montee sur Pegase" or "Truth Astride Pegasus" (Renommee literally means reputation, but in this context, "truth" is the better translation.) The 1719 marble piece is by Antoine Coysevox (1640-1720). It depicts a young female (Renommee) riding sidesaddle and blowing a trumpet. Her dress leaves her barebreasted and she also wears a laurel. The horse, Pegasus has huge wings emerging from his hindquarters and is leaping over a shield and lion pelt on a rectangular base.
In Greek mythology, Pegasus, was a winged and devine horse. Poseiden was his father. Read more about Pegasus at (

As to the extraterrestrial site, Wikipedia (

"Pegasus is a constellation in the northern sky, named after the winged horse Pegasus in Greek mythology. It was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy, and remains one of the 88 modern constellations....
51 Pegasi, a star in this constellation, is the first Sun-like star known to have an extrasolar planet.
IK Pegasi is the nearest supernova candidate.
Spectroscopic analysis of HD 209458 b, an extrasolar planet in this constellation has provided the first evidence of atmospheric water vapor beyond the solar system, while extrasolar planets orbiting the star HR 8799 also in Pegasus are the first to be directly imaged."
There is another statue of Pegasus by the same artist across from this one, see (

That statue has Mercury astride Pegasus.
